Forest Order: Catherine Creek Arch Closure

Catherine Creek Arch Closure Forest Order Number: 06-22-01-24-09 

Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a), the following special prohibitions are established in area known as the Catherine Creek Arch, within Klickitat County, State of Washington, Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This Order becomes effective on December 31, 2024, and will remain in effect through December 31, 2026, unless rescinded sooner. 

Prohibitions: Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a), the following act is prohibited on National Forest System Lands in an area known as Catherine Creek Arch. Going into or being upon any area, which is closed for the protection of (36 CFR § 261.53(b and c): 1. Special biological communities, and 2. Objects or areas of historical, archaeological, geological, or paleontogical interest.
