Winter Sports
There are 18 Sno-Parks for winter recreation that access national forest lands within Colville National Forest (5 non-motorized and 12 motorized). Washington State Sno-Park permits are required at these sites from November 1st to April 30th.
Types of winter recreation sites:
- Motorized Sno-Park: Snowmobile Sno-Parks (Open to both motorized and non-motorized winter recreation)
- Non-motorized Sno-Park: Non-Motorized Sno-Parks (Open to non-motorized activities like cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing, and snow play)
- Staging Area: *Sno-Park Permit NOT required at staging areas. Staging areas provide available parking depending on conditions. Grooming is not guaranteed at staging areas. (Open to both motorized and non-motorized winter recreation)
