Green Dot Management Areas
Green Dot Areas are managed through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Malheur National Forest and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). The objectives of the Green Dot Restrictions are to minimize harassment to wildlife during hunting season and provide hunting opportunities with minimal disturbance. This means certain areas of the forest are restricted to motorized vehicles during specified dates which may impact your ability to access project areas except by foot travel.
Please review the Travel Management Areas and restriction dates for the different districts and plan accordingly.
