Pine Creek Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to Pine Creek Trail #201 within the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness.  Ample parking at the trailhead. There are tie stalls for horses available, with stock water located approximately 1/2 mile away in drainage on east side of Baldy Mountain.

From this trailhead hikers and horse back riders can enjoy both single and multiday hiking experiences.  All will enjoy traveling through stands of ponderosa pine, mixed vegetation and in spring and early summer beautiful wildflowers.

Wilderness Regulations apply. Motorized and mountain bike use prohibited.

Directions

From Prairie City, OR., go west approximately 6 miles on US Highway 26 to the junction with County Road 54 . Follow County Road 54, which becomes Forest Service road 5401. Follow Forest Service Road 5401 to the junction with Forest Service Road 811.  Follow Forest Service Road 811 all the way to the trailhead.
