Miller Bar Camping and Day Use Area

Miller Bar is operated as a dispersed site and is located on large river bar on the beautiful Wild and Scenic Chetco River. Enjoy summer fun in the crystal-clear waters of this outstanding river! A few shaded spots can be found along the tree line. Tents or small trailers only. Camping on the gravel bar during the winter months is discouraged due to the frequency of high-water events.

General Information

  • Map Location: Township 39 South, Range 12 West, Section 30

  • Quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Campfires allowed if no fire restrictions in place
  • Fireworks are prohibited
  • Dogs must be on leash

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night per vehicle

  • $10 for each vehicle

Directions

From Brookings, Oregon, turn off US Highway 101 onto the North Bank, Chetco River Road (County Road 784). This becomes Forest Road 1376. Miller Bar is approximately 2 miles from the Forest boundary on Forest Road 1376.
