Burned Area Warning
- 3 Snowmobile trails that are affected (FS-7700, FS-7705, FS-77150)
- Campground and Trailhead at Eagle Forks Campground
Stay vigilant in these areas. There is an increased risk of trees falling. Fire weakened trees, even if they look green, will experience snow loads and winds during the winter. The upper portions of trees are capable of snapping and falling in unexpected ways.
Everyone near and downstream from the burned areas should remain alert and stay updated on weather conditions that may result in heavy rains and increased water runoff. Flash flooding may occur quickly during heavy rain events, be prepared to act. Current weather and emergency notifications can be found at the National Weather Service website: www.weather.gov/boi/.
