Heaven's Gate Trailhead
The Heaven's Gate Trailhead is located below Heaven's Gate Viewpoint near the Hells Canyon Wilderness. Visitors to the site can enjoy a short hike up to the fire lookout viewpoint on the Heaven's Gate National Recreation Trail, or walk along the northern portion of the Boise Trail (#101) and look down into Hells Canyon.
The Boise Trail #101 provides access to Hells Canyon Wilderness via the Old Timer Trail #110 junction north of Heaven's Gate Trailhead.

- Motorized vehicles, bicycles, carts, hang glider and other mechanical equipment is prohibited in the Wilderness area.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night
Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual
Overnight campsites fees are $10/night for single family unit (tent or trailer sites). Self-service pay station on site. Day Use Fees are $5/car/day parking/day use. Please use self-service pay station on site.

Directions
From Riggins, Idaho travel south on Highway 95 for 1.3 miles to Seven Devils Road (becomes Forest Road 517); Turn right on Seven Devils Road and go 18 miles to the end of the road; The Heaven's Gate Trailhead Gate is about 1.5 miles past the Windy Saddle Trailhead.
ADVISORY: Forest Road 517 is very steep, and narrow. Low clearance vehicles, RVs and vehicles pulling trailers are not recommened or advised to use caution when traveling the upper sections of this road. The road can also be slippery when wet or frozen and is not recommended for trailers in the late fall and winter.
