Umapine Campground

The Umapine Campground is located west of Vey Meadows between Cuuyem and Umapine Creeks in a ponderosa pine forest. It offers 3 group sites (including one pull through site) and 5 single sites. The rustic campground is a central staging area for the Winom-Frazier OHV trail area which gives off-road riders access to more than 140 miles of challenging trails.

Overnight campsites fees are $10/night for single family unit (tent or trailer sites). Self-service pay station on site.

Directions

From La Grande, Oregon travel north on Interstate 84 for about 8 miles to Exit 252 going to Ukiah/Hilgard on Highway 244; Travel west on Highway 244 towards Ukiah for 23 miles to Forest Road 5160; Turn left on Forest Road 5160 and go 8 miles to campground and OHV trailhead entrance on right side of road.

From Ukiah, Oregon travel east on highway 244 to Forest Road 5160; Turn right on Forest Road 5160 and go 8 miles to campground and OHV trailhead entrance on right side of road.

A large parking lot adjacent to the campground has an easy loading and unloading area
