Ravens Cliff Trailhead

The trail is a wilderness trail that keeps in the Wilderness chacater so use Leave No Trace practices in this area.  Parking area consists of gravel delineated parking lot for 30 vehicles, interpretive kiosk, bear resistant garbage bins, vault toilet, and picnic tables.  There is a $5.00 amenities fee per vehicle.

America the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass/Golden Age or Golden Access passes are the only passes accepted at this site.

The maximum length of stay is 14 days. No UTV's, ATV's or Golf carts allowed in the campground or on Forest Service Roads. After the camper(s) has accumulated 14 days within any 30-day time period, the camper(s) must leave that area/campground and move from Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest land for 30 days before returning for another stay.

There is a $5.00 per vehicle amenities fee per day to use this facility.  95% of fees collected are returned to assist with operation and maintenance costs. Fees can be paid by using cash,  check (made out to the USDA Forest Service), or pay for your activity pass at Ravens Cliff Wilderness Trailhead with the Recreation.gov Mobile App. Log in to your Recreation.gov account through the mobile app and scan the QR code at the area.  Follow the on-screen instructions. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one to use Scan & Pay before coming to the site. Please have your proof of payment on your windshield.

Directions: 

From Helen: Head west on Hwy 75/17 No to Hwy 17 A. Turn left on Hwy 17 A towards Robertsville/Cleveland. Go for approximately 2.5 miles to Richard Russell Scenic Hwy (Hwy 348). Make a right turn and travel for approximately 2.4 miles and it will be on your left.

From Cleveland: Head north on Hwy 17A for approximately 10 miles, turn left on Richard Russell Scenic Hwy (Hwy 348). Travel for approximately 2.4 miles and it will be on your left.
