Swords Recreation Area
Just east of Madison, GA, on the shore of the local's beloved Lake Oconee, visitors to the Oconee Ranger District find the Swords Recreation Area. Families can enjoy the picnicking opportunities and newly renovated boat ramp in this secluded, yet scenic locale.

Annual Forest Pass: This pass sells for $ 25.00 and is valid for US Forest Service boat ramps and day use areas throughout the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest. It is valid for one year from the date of issuance. This pass is half price for Senior Pass and Access holders Available at the Oconee National Forest District Office- Located at 1199 Madison Rd. (US 441/129) Eatonton GA. Office Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1 :00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
No camping is allowed at the boat ramps. No Fireworks on the National Forest! Possessing, discharging or using any kind of fireworks or other pyrotecnic or explosive device. 36 CFR 261.52 (f)

Directions
From I-20 exit 114, head north on Seven Islands Rd. Go approximately 1 mile to Parks Mill Rd. Turn right onto Parks Mill Rd.and go 3 miles to Blue Springs Rd. Turn left onto Blue Springs Rd and go 1.5 miles to entrance on left.
