Rich Mountain and Cedar Creek Roads

This wildflower viewing site includes open shortleaf pine/hardwood woodland and features species such as bird’s foot violet, wild quinine, roughleaf sunflower, compass plant, blazing star, smooth coneflower, Blue Ridge bindweed and bitter-bloom.

Getting There

Directions

From Walhalla, take SC28 up the escarpment to Whetstone road (SC193), then left to Cassidy Bridge road (SC290), where you’ll take another left to Rich Mountain road (FS744). Cedar Creek road (FS744-C) is 2 ½ miles south on Rich Mountain road, on right.
