Wine-Turkey and Modoc Trails
These trails are located in the southeastern part of the Long Cane Ranger District. Visitors enjoy the option of riding the 12-mile Wine-Turkey Trail, the 5.5 mile Modoc Trail or exploring them all on the same day.The renovation of the historic Key Bridge allows access to both Wine-Turkey and Modoc trails from the parking area at Price’s Bottom.

General Information
Avoid trail use during the first two weeks of rifle deer season. Wear blaze orange the entire hunting season. Be mindful of traffic when traveling on or crossing roads.
Getting There
Directions
To Wine-Turkey Trail: From the town square in Edgefield, travel Highway 25 north (toward Greenwood) for 4.1 miles. Turn left onto Highway 283 and travel 9.7 miles to the parking lot on the left. To Modoc Trail: (From Augusta) From the South Carolina line at the Savannah River bridge on Hwy 28, travel north for 11.1 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 23 and travel for 1.2 miles to parking lot on left.
