Longleaf Horse Trail
The Longleaf Horse Trail is a multi-purpose trail (hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and horse wagons) that winds through a longleaf pine ecosystem. It includes three trail loops, totaling 21 miles of trail for riders to explore. Each loop is marked with a different trail color to allow for easy trail identification and travel.
Parking, picnicking, camping and fishing are available at the trailhead. All 12 campsites have picnic tables, fire-rings and a hitching post. There is no potable water available. The Gator Pond can be used to water horses but no horses are allowed on the pond dam.
A wildlife management area permit and fishing license are required to fish at the pond located at the trailhead.
