Jackpine Loop

Jackpine Loop Campground is one of three shady campground loops in the Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area and includes 23 individual sites. The loop has centralized water, flush toilets, hot showers, and a recharge table for electric boat motors. A selection of single or extra-large sites are available. Two walk-in non-electric sites are also provided, the rest have electricity. The campground opens April 15 and remains open through October 31 (weather dependent). A maximum of 2 vehicles and 8 people are allowed in single sites, and 16 people and 4 vehicles are allowed in double sites.

A complete list of US Forest Service rules and regulations are posted on bulletin boards in the campground. No hardwood firewood may be brought in to the campgrounds unless it has been certified by the USDA or IDNR.

Camping fees are $20 for non-electric sites, and $27 for electric sites. One vehicle is included in site fees. Extra vehicles are $5/day each. With passports a single family non electric site is $10, and an electric site is $17. Double sites are $40 for non-electric and $43 for electric.

Directions

Located 6 miles south of Interstate 64 off State Highway 37. Turn at the large entrance sign. The recreation area is actually a couple miles down this road. Continue down the road to the gatehouse and the recreation complex. The campgrounds are to the north past the gatehouse.
