South Prairie Creek Outwash Plain Restoration
Conduct restoration activities on approximately 447 acres of native vegetation on lands west of Illinois Rte. 53. Proposed activities include: ditch and field tile management, thinning invasive trees greater than 6? DBH (diameter breast height), and planting native prairie and wetland species. These activities will help initiate large unfragmented grassland wildlife habitat areas, and improve vegetation linkages and protect existing remnant of native vegetation while restoring habitat areas.
