Long Ridge Trailhead
The Long Ridge Trailhead provides access to the 13-mile Long Ridge Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System. It features a compact group of trails that wind through varying scenery.
The extensive Monday Creek OHV Trail System also lies nearby to the northwest, providing a total of 77 trail miles.
General Information
Long Ridge motorized trails are marked with orange diamonds or carsonite posts. While trails are designed for motorized vehicles, they are also open to hiking, mountain biking, and riding electric bikes. The trails are seasonally closed to OHV, mountain bike, and e-bike use each winter; foot travel is allowed year-round.

- Trails are seasonally closed to off-highway vehicle and mountain bike use from winter to early spring. Visit our Recreation page to see seasonal open and close dates for the current year.
- Day and night (with lights) access is permitted.
- Open year-round for hiking.
- Wayne National Forest OHV Trail Permit required
- State of Ohio APV Registration and insurance required
- No vehicles greater than 50 inches wide allowed
- Possession of alcohol is prohibited on the Wayne National Forest per Ohio’s Open Container Law.
- Helmets and protective eye-wear required.
- Passengers may ride only if vehicle is designed by manufacturer to carry passengers.
