White Sulphur Springs Cabin

Rustic 12' x 14' Pan Abode style cabin with plywood bunks; table and benches; wood stove; capacity 4 persons. Newly built in 2012. The White Sulphur Springs bathhouse has been re-opened for public use. Temporary stabilization has been completed on the building making it safe for use during the next 3-5 years.

Directions

Located on west coast of Chichagof Island on northern shore of Bertha Bay 65 miles (105km) northwest of Sitka within the West Chichagof-Yakobi Wilderness Area; Boat anchorage possible in Mirror Harbor; local knowledge recommended before trying to do so. 0.9 mile (1½ km) White Sulphur Springs Trail begins at Mirror Harbor and leads to cabin. Trail fairly level, parallels Bertha Bay. Anchorage also possible in Porcupine Bay, requiring skiff ride to cabin.
