Comments: Fort Valley repeat set 34; Fort Valley repeat set 34; Coconino Sample Plot S5; Taken 20' behind corner C3; Plot S5I (C). Area not fenced. Practically no seedling establishment, although sufficient seed has been borne by trees in vicinity. At present time a few 1- and 2-year seedlings inside of quadrat. Site is probably too dry. Ground cover largely Sporobolus confusus and Aristida spp., also some Sporobolus interruptus, which is, however, closely cropped. (Repeat of 1913 photo.) See La-88 (1959).See also DJN-44
