Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S5; Taken from center point of plot between the two seedling-count strips and looking toward corner D4 of Plot S5I (D). Man standing at point where lopped top shows in original photo. Very heavy litter here with some vetch, but no seedlings. Probably too much root competition from blackjacks nearby. Seedlings to right are 3 to 6' tall and about 12 years old. (Repeat of 1913 photo.)
