| Comments: | Coconino Sample Plot S5; Taken from SW cor. strip I, Plot S5I (F). Shows heavy stand of Festuca arizonica on north slope. Area not fenced. A few seedlings have become established in vicinity of the remains of burned slash. Seedling by caliper is 0.6' tall and one at right is 1.2' tall. The Fescue grass is quite well grazed here, probably by sheepherders' burros. (Repeat of 1913 Photo.) See La-100 (1959). See also DJN-60 |
