Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S5; Taken from SE corner strip 2, Plot S5III (G). Area not fenced. Shows chiefly how seedlings shown in original photo have recovered and grown in past 15 years. Caliper stands by same tree as shown in original photo. Note that several new seedlings have become established near the older ones. Note also how Festuca grass has become thinned. This is thought to be chiefly due to shade and root competition from the developed seedlings.See DJN-139
