| Comments: | "Stump area" grown up to grass under protection from grazing, 10 years after cutting. The space around the stumps was almost bare of vegetation when the trees were felled. The subclimax stage (Festuca arizonica) is not almost completely reestablished. Very few pine seedlings survive competition with the grass. |
