Comments: Western yellow pine 2-yr. seedlings mechanically injured to simulate grazing. Injury Sept. 15, 1929, left to right as follows: (1) normal; (2)upper 2/3 of current season's growth cut off; (3) all of current year's growth removed, leaving a few basal leaves and portions of secondary leaves; (4) entire crown removed leaving no leaves expect occasional primary leaves, most of which normally shed at the end of the first season.
