Comments: Cooperrider-Cassidy study. Recovery of yellow pine from injury. Top forms a 3' specimen; shows in the main the 1928 leader and primary laterals which sprang from injured 1927 leader. The 1929 growth on 1928 leader was grazed to short stubs, leaving no leaves. Current year's terminal growth which resembles secondary growth and which formed 1/2" to 1 1/2" lengths occurred after 1929 injury; characteristic of growth from buds which form on previous year's wood when current year's growth is taken below all leaves.
