Comments: Cooperrider-Cassidy study. Recovery by lateral shoot. Deer injury. Very heavy browsing on 1935 leader and all main laterals in early June. thrifty uninjured secondary lateral (1935 right) turned up and got the ascendency over shoots produced from needle bundle buds and wood buds on 1935 injured terminal shoot. If uninjured in next 2 or 3 yrs will jump in growth away beyond injured shoot and straighten up so injured shoot will angle out and stem will be straight
