Flood waters from a high-density localized rain sweep across a well-vegetated blue gram flat from nearby foothills and entering a gully which is eroding very rapidly. sever periodic floods such as this may completely nullify any healing of gullies unless mechanical structures are used in conjuction with proper range management.
