Comments: Ranger Study Plot P-9-C (old Red Mtn blue green plot) on Walnut Creek R.D. Grass is mainly Bouteloua gracilis with some Muhlenbergia terreyl, M. repens, Aristada longiseta, and Bouteloua curtipendula. Snakeweed present in small numbers. Some round joint cacti on plot and may be spreading. Growth on grasses poor during past summer and there has been considerable grazing on the plot this year. Photo point #2 SE to NW corner. There is a trace of Gutierrezia sarothrae present in the plot but appears to be no reproduction. Trees in background are juniper and seem to be spreading to this area.
