Comments: Young Ranch near Kirkland AZ. Fenced plot No. 2. This area approx 100'x 100' in size has been protected from grazing 3 yrs; shrubby buckwheat shows slight improvement; blue grama is mainly dead and show no increase in vigor or growth; herbaceous plants seem to be paralyzed on this highly erodible granite soil; there has also been very little recovery on closely grazed turbinella oak.
