Comments: Young Ranch near Kirkland, AZ. Transect No.7 (Open); area grazed by goats and cattle; a typical turbinella oak stand on loose granite soil; snakeweed and shrubby buckwheat also present; heavy use has been made of turbinella oak and buckbrush; shrubby buckwheat has been grazed some; yerba de pasmo (Baccharis ramulosa) is not grazed by cattle or goats; tall shrub in background is canotia and is not grazed.
