Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S3; Tall tree at left is dominating five smaller ones. The dominant is #4519 in Group 8b, d.b.h. 23.8, Class 3C, growth last decade 1.3". This tree has recently changed from crown class B to C as shown by numerous dead branches at base of crown. Illustrates how a dominant with large crown forms a rough bole when competition reduces length of crown. S3.
