Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S3; Three tall pines in this group have had their tops thinned by Abert squirrels. This all took place during the 1941-42 Winter. The death of tree at left is not, as far as known, related to squirrels. The tall tree with top nearly cleaned is #2058. Two adjacent ones, also badly injured are # 2056 & 2057. S3.
