Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S3; Portion of blackjack group No. 12 after 2nd cutting. Of the two trees in foreground, the one at left is Class IIB and the one at right is IIC, both 22" dbh in 1939. A 25" tree betweeen them was cut in 1939; diameter growth rate doubled after cutting, attaining 1.1 & 1.2 inches in 5 yrs. S3.
