| Comments: | Severe fire damage in ponderosa pine. Fort Valley burn of July 1948. Seedlings and saplings a complete loss and majority of overstory trees killed or greatly weakened. Accumulation of litter, old slash, and grass destroyed, exposing bare mineral soil to erosion hazard. |
