Comments: Severe fire damage in ponderosa pine, Fort Valley burnof July 1948. Seedlings and saplings a complete loss and majority of overstory trees killed or greatly wekened. Accumulation of litter, old slash, and grass destroyed, exposing bare mineral soil to erosion hazard.
