Comments: Coconino Sample Plot S2; Excellent advance reproduction of ponderosa pine (1914 germination) in distance is in the cattle pasture shown in #334498. Most of the seedlings originated in 1914. In foreground, which at the time was outside fence and exposed to sheep as well as cattle grazing, there are very few 1914 survivors; but many 1928 and 1929 seedlings have started under protection since 1927.
