Comments: Cooperrider-Cassidy study. Specimens from bed ground on LaBaron range. Leader on right specimen was grazed in June as well as lateral on one to left. Adv. bud just starting in needle sheath at top of leader. Leaves at top of damaged shoots were too small to be damaged in taking the shoot. Needles pilled a few days before picture was taken. Specimen on left shows two classes of damage occurring at different times. Scars at base show it to have been bushy about 3 years in past.
