Segelsen Stewardship Thin Contract

The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals (no public opening) at Darrington Ranger District, 1405 Emens Ave N. Darrington, WA 98241 no later than 10:00 AM local time on or before September 20, 2017 for the Segelsen Stewardship Thin Contract.  The contract is located within Sections 28 and 33, T33N, R09E, W.M., Skagit County, Washington; Section 36, T32N, R09E, W.M., Snohomish County, Washington; Section 31, T32N, R10E, W.M., Snohomish County, Washington; Sections 1, 12, 13, 23, 24, T31N, R09E, W.M., Snohomish County, Washington and Sections 6, 7, T31N, R10E, W.M., Snohomish County, Washington.

Estimated quantities of timber included in this contract are 2,878 tons of Douglas-fir and 9,415 tons of Western Hemlock and Other Coniferous Species marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Also included in the contract are three mandatory service projects to be completed. The Forest Service encourages potential bidders to make their own inspection and estimate prior to submission of technical and price proposals.

The minimum acceptable bid for the advertised timber is $23.27 per ton for all species.  The contract will be awarded based on a Best Value determination. One award will be made to the Bidder (a) whose proposal is technically acceptable and (b) whose technical/price relationship is the most advantageous to the Government.
