Passes

A valid recreation pass is required to use many developed trailheads, picnic areas, boat launches and interpretive sites on national forests throughout Oregon and Washington. Signs are posted at recreation sites where day use fees may be charged

Note: The Washington Discover Pass is required at state operated sites (administered by Washington State Parks, Department of Natural Resources lands and Department of Fish and Wildlife) but are not valid on national forest lands.

Enjoy the convenience of buying a Digital Recreation Day Pass at Recreation.gov for Forest Service fee sites at Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. You can easily download your digital pass on your phone or tablet, no printing is required and funds directly help support local improvements.

On-site Scan & Pay

Recreation.gov mobile app now features Scan & Pay to pay directly from your mobile device. Even in remote areas with no cell service, Scan & Pay allows you to pay when you’re offline and then processes your transaction once you’re back online.

Day or Annual Passes

Annual recreation passes

Recreation passes provide access to Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required. Annual passes cover day-use or entrance fees all year, while single-day passes work for one day.
