Franklin Falls Trailhead
Provides access to: Franklin Falls Trail 1036, Wagon Road Trail 1021, Denny Creek Trail 1014.
This trailhead is one of the most popular on the I-90 corridor and also provides the parking for Denny Creek Trailhead, which is located about a quarter-mile walk up a closed road past the start of Franklin Falls Trail. The Franklin Falls Trailhead expansion was completed in 2023 with Great American Outdoors Act Funding, significantly increasing the parking capacity at this site. The Trailhead parking area is located just up and across the road from Denny Creek Campground.
Winter Information
The Franklin Falls Sno-Park will not operate this winter, and the Denny Creek Road (Forest Service Road 58) will be closed to motorized traffic. The Denny Creek Road and parking lot at Franklin Falls will not be plowed.
The Asahel Curtis and Annette Lake Sno-Parks will be operating this winter. The hike from the Asahel Curtis Sno-Park parking area to Franklin Falls is approximately 7-miles.

Directions
Travel on I-90 to Exit 47. From the exit, turn north and drive across the overpass to the "T" in the road, then turn right. In 0.25 mile, turn left onto Denny Creek Road (Forest Service Road 58). Continue straight for 2.8miles. About a quarter-mile past the Denny Creek Campground, the road becomes one-way and passes through thee three large parking areas. Before reaching the main parking, you will pass a vault toilet and ADA parking on your left, and past that a closed gate. This is where both the Franklin Falls and Wagon Road Trails start.
Denny Creek Trail: to reach Denny Creek Trail, follow the directions above, but walk past the ADA parking and Franklin Falls/Wagon Road Trails, past the closed gate and up Forest Road 5830, which is closed to vehicles, for about 0.25 miles to reach the start of Denny Creek Trail.
Travel Considerations
Winter Considerations:
It is not recommended to travel to Franklin Falls along the Denny Creek Road from the Snoqualmie Pass summit due to debris entering the road from snowplowing on Interstate-90.
The mountain environment along I-90 is dynamic and hazardous, with avalanche terrain, unmarked cliffs, unsafe winter creek crossings, snow immersion and suffocation risks, and other mountain hazards. Do not attempt to access the Denny Creek Trail or enter the Franklin Falls Basin, as both areas present significant avalanche risks.
Before traveling to Franklin Falls, check road conditions at Washington Department of Transportation website. Chains are required for winter access to Franklin Falls via I-90. Be prepared for extreme weather conditions.

There are three parking areas for Franklin Falls and Denny Creek Trails. One-way traffic only.
