Being a Scenic Area, we are home to an abundance of scenic drives. Two epic roads trace the Columbia River’s pathway through the Cascade Mountains -- Oregon's Historic Columbia River Highway and Washington's Lewis and Clark Trail Scenic Byway. Drivers can also experience two National Forest units in one amazing drive by following the Mt. Hood Scenic Loop. Click above for more details.

Share the road respectfully

  • Watch for bikers along the side of the road.
  • Park in designated areas only to ensure emergency vehicles can respond and alleviate congestion.
  • Avoid blocking driving lanes.
  • Avoid idling your car and blocking trailheads for long periods of time.
  • Park within the white lines of road shoulders.

Scenic beauty, cascading waterfalls that glimmer in the sunshine, breathtaking views, and gourmet memories served on a silver platter seems like a fantasy that only fairy tale characters could enjoy. However, this fantasy can become a reality
