Fishing opportunities from streams to rivers to lakes abound across our 2.4 million acre landscape. The Flathead NF is uniquely known for its native fisheries, particularly bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout. It is our mission to assure that populations of these rare fishes are maintained through careful management. To this end, healthy fish populations is a cooperative goal with Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.
