Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie offers approximately 22 miles of multi-use trails. These trails are open to bicycling, hiking, and horseback riding. The majority of these trails are on old road beds, however some trails are limestone based. Cyclist should be aware of any trail debris and the potential for it to have thorns. Sometimes small branches or limbs get caught on equipment and end up in the trail or get blown onto the trails during heavy winds.
