Due to ongoing road repair work, expect up to a 30-minute delay until October 28th and a 3-hour closure from 9 am – 12 pm tentatively scheduled for September 22-October 6 daily.  

Possessing or storing any food in Desolation Wilderness unless it is in a bear proof container.

The Loon Lake Campground and Trailhead is closed this season for reconstruction. The boatramp is open for day use only though Labor Day weekend and then it will close for construction. The water system will not be operational during this time.

Using a motor vehicle in these areas during a specific time period.

This order prohibits use of a motorcycle or motor-driven bicycle on this trail.

Prohibited acts within Desolation Wilderness.

Prohibited acts within the Mokelumne Wilderness.

Routes designated in Travel Management Subpart B are included as part of the current road system.
