Sewage Spill Impacting Recreation Sites in the Jemez Ranger District
Due to a recent sewage spill in the Jemez River, water is temporarily shut off at the Vista Linda campground. There is currently no fishing, swimming, or drinking water available until further notice at the sites affected.

Forest Service Road 83 Construction Closure
Construction work, in the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District, will temporarily close Forest Road 83, specifically at the culvert crossing on Sebadilla Creek. The road will be closed at mile post 13.7, while allowing access to the private landowners in the area, from May 5 to May 23.

Temporary Area and Road Closure for Gilman Tunnels Rock Scaling Project on the Jemez Ranger District
The purpose of this Order is to protect the public’s safety while the Gilman Tunnels rock scaling project is being completed. Guardrail damage occurred and the area will remain closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic while repairs are underway.

Headquarters Well Area Closure on Española Ranger District
The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) has issued a camping closure for Headquarters Well in the Española Ranger District to prevent further resource damage caused by an increase in unauthorized long-term camping, vandalism, and trash dumping.

WHEREAS, bathing, fishing, camping, picnicking, and other forms of human occupancy of the Santa Fe River Watershed in the Santa Fe National Forest, causes pollution of the water flowing therein used by the residents of Santa Fe, New Mexico , for drinking and domestic purposes, to a degree threate
