Kids Fishing Days
The Kids Fishing Day Series are annual events held in the spring (generally April) on the Cherokee National Forest. Children ages 15 years and younger fish for free, no experience is needed to participate. Volunteers and employees from the U.S. Forest Service and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency provide assistance and equipment to teach kids how to use a rod and reel and how to bait a hook. No fishing license is required at these events. Dates and locations are posted each spring on our website and Facebook
