San Juan Mountains Association Volunteer Clearinghouse

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in southwest Colorado. The San Juan Mountains Association Volunteer Clearinghouse is a one-stop connection point for volunteers and interns, public land agencies, and other organizations.

 

The SJMA Clearinghouse: 

  • Maintains a listing of volunteer and internship opportunities available in southwest Colorado. 

  • Includes the USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Parks, and others. 

Opportunities are as varied as the volunteers themselves and include:

  • Trail maintenance and construction

  • Field surveys and monitoring 

  • Wildlife and Forest Ecology 

  • Education and Interpretation
