Welcome to the Sierra National Forest
The Sierra National Forest sits on the western slope of the central Sierra Nevada range in California. Stop by to enjoy extraordinary highland panoramic views and plentiful natural resources. Elevations range from 900 feet to nearly 14,00 feet, across 1.3 million acres in Fresno, Madera and Mariposa counties.
The forest offers rolling foothills covered with oak trees and mixed conifers, to heavily forested mid-elevation slopes, to the amazingly stark and beautiful alpine landscape of the High Sierras.
Plentiful fish, wildlife and marine life paired with mountain slopes, magnificent trees, and native plants.
