APS is proposing the construction of a fiber optic communication line within the existing authorized 69-kV transmission line ROW that crosses approximately 3.6 miles of the forest; no ROW expansion would be needed.

Authorizing permanent easement and temporary construction easements for construction and maintenance of Young Road from milepost 316.44 to milepost 329.91
The Forest Service is proposing to authorize Gila County to expand three existing material source pits (Ramer, Braddock, and Castle Dome) and excavate one new material source pit (824), all located in rural Gila County, Az.
The proposed project includes road maintenance, drill pad construction at 37 sites, and exploratory core drilling. The proposed action incorporates best management practices and design features to avoid and/or minimize impacts to forest resources.
