Salmon Base Camp Trailhead

Salmon Base Camp Trailhead provides ample parking for both passenger vehicles and trailers. It serves as an access point to Trails 27 and 19, as well as the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church Wilderness areas. Amenities include a wooden outhouse, stock ramp, and hitching rails.

Directions

From Darby, MT, travel 4.3 miles south on Highway 93. Turn south onto West Fork Road and continue for approximately 14.3 miles. Turn west (right) onto Forest Road 468 (Nez Perce Road) and proceed for about 35 miles as it becomes the Magruder Corridor. Turn south (left) onto Magruder Corridor/Nez Perce Trail Road and continue 14.8 miles to the trailhead.
