Slate Creek Campground

Current Conditions
Front loop open year round, snow dependent. Back loop open June through September 30th.

Slate Creek Campground is located near Painted Rocks Lake and has 4 sites complete with picnic tables and fire rings, and a vault toilet in the front loop. There are 9 sites and an additional vault toilet located in the back loop of the campground.  Campground can accommodate RV's or trailers to 25 feet.

Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days: Camping Restrictions Regional Order

Pack it in, Pack it out, no garbage service provided.

Campfires allowed, dependent upon seasonal fire restrictions.   

 

Open 24 hours/day

Quiet hours: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.  Pets must be leashed.

No fees are required for this site

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10/night.
Additional Vehicle: $5/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.

*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.*

Please be prepared to pay with CASH or CHECK.

Directions

From Darby Montana drive south on state Highway 93 turn south (right) on West Fork Road (towards Painted Rocks State Park). Travel approximately 23.6 miles. Campground is located on the east (left) side of the road.
